Statement
As an Audiovisual Artist I focus on the production of two-dimensional work on analog and digital media; as well as independent artistic teaching and research.
I am interested in developing discursive axes related to Nothingness, and the field of the non-verbalizable, with references to philosophy of religion, comparative mythology, theology, and specific topics in the history of visual and religious representation, among others. With the above, I seek to generate a vast and structured body of work that responds to reflections on self-awakening into Nothingness; as well as the stages of nature and the psyche with which I try to represent it, and the paradoxes generated from this.
In this way, I intend to address concepts among which stand out: the emptying of the ego, the poetics of the existential space and the disintegration of the world order, among others.
I consider important that my work can generate existential concerns, for this, I use elements that refer to silence, chaos and the abyssal, through an alternation between the analogy and conscious use of symbols, and the abstraction and cancellation of recognizable elements.
